After-school Cricut for kids

Date: Wed, 10 Dec 2025 (weekly on Wednesdays) | Time: 4:30 PM - 5:00 PM

Make anything with the Cricut!

Come and let your imagination run wild to make a one-of-a-kind t-shirt, tote bag, or hoodie, sticker set, decal, window decoration, wall art, birthday card, or stencil.

We'll teach you how to bring your design to life and use and operate the Cricut machine. We have a range of iron-materials in various styles, as well as print-your own, and stickers and vinyl and other materials.

Suitable for kids aged 8+. Max 3 participants plus at least one parent/guardian.

$40 / student. Blank t-shirts & tote-bags available for purchase for $10/each in different styles, sizes, and colours. You're welcome to bring your own too! All other materials included in the cost.

Christmas Craft Workshop

Date: Mon, 22 Dec 2025 | Time: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Make and decorate your own personalised laser cut Christmas decorations!

Participants will laser cut, assemble, and decorate one light-up table decoration and two hanging ornaments.

Suitable for kids aged 6-12. (Under 8's must have a parent or guardian present)

$35 per child ($50 for non-members). All materials provided.

An introduction to the different types of 3D printing, how to use existing designs, and start designing your own with the free Onshape tool.

Learn the basics of laser cutting and design and make a sign out of wood or acrylic.

Learn how to use the Cricut to design make custom window decorations, using either translucent frosting material or coloured vinyl.

Intro to coding with micro:bit

Learn the basics of coding and logic with the BBC micro:bit.

For school kids in years 9-12. No prior programming experience required.

micro:bit robots with MicroPython

Using the bit:bot XL robots and the Bit Kit micro:car kits, using make:code and MicroPython on the micro:bits -- learn about radio signals, motor control, line-following, and mission planning. Try and set a high score on our track.

For school students in years 10+. Some previous coding experience recommended (Scratch, Arduino, Python, Blockly).

Toy repair

Bring along a kid's toy that deserves a second chance and saving from the bin, and as a group work together to repair & restore them. Could involve soldering, plastic repair, making replacement parts, sewing or stuffing, or touch-ups.
